Tomato sauce for pizza

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 can of tomatoes, peeled, 400g
  • 75 g tomatoes, dried, pickled in oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp, levelled white pepper, ground
  • ½ tsp oregano, dried
  • ½ tsp marjoram, dried
  • 1 tsp, heaped basil, dried
  • ½ tsp Thyme, shredded, dried
  • ½ tsp rosemary, ground, dried
  • ½ tsp salt (tomato seasoning salt)
  • n. B. garlic granules

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

with dried herbs, as you usually have them at home

Dice the canned tomatoes and add them to a bowl with the tomato sauce. Drain the dried tomatoes in oil. Carefully separate the flesh from the hard skin, discard the skins, and add the flesh to the canned tomatoes. Add all the remaining sauce ingredients and stir to combine. Season to taste. Spread on the pizza dough and top with your favorite toppings. This sauce serves one large baking tray or two small baking trays. Alternatively, you can bring the sauce to a boil for a quick, delicious sauce for pasta dishes. The sauce will keep for a few days in the refrigerator.
