Spread the love

  • 300 g bacon (Gelderland twin bacon), in large cubes or strips
  • 1 large vegetable onion(s), or 3 normal ones in cubes
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, finely diced
  • ½ tube(s) tomato paste
  • 1 point tomato(s), pureed
  • 1 tsp broth, granulated
  • ½ tsp salt (taste carefully because of the bacon…)
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs, finely ground
  • 200 ml sweet cream
  • 1 n. B. Pepper, from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

a very quick and easy variant and the favorite of all small and big children

Fry the bacon in a medium saucepan. When it starts to brown, add the onions. If it’s not cooking properly, add a spoonful of oil. Fry everything on high. When the onions start to brown, quickly sweat the garlic too. Push everything to one side of the pan, reduce the power to half, and add the sugar and tomato paste to the empty space in the pan. Top with the Italian herbs and the granulated stock (dry). Be careful, it browns quickly, so have the passata uncovered and stir well after 1-2 minutes. As soon as it really starts to cook, quickly stir in the passata. Bring to a boil briefly, then stir in the cream, and season again with salt and pepper. Best eaten with these short macaroni and a huge green salad.
