Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 portion of puff pastry, ready-made (e.g. refrigerated)
  • 500 g tomatoes
  • e.g. mustard (Dijon mustard)
  • 250 g cheese (Emmental), grated
  • e.g. basil
  • n. B. garlic
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Roll out the finished puff pastry on a baking sheet and spread generously with Dijon mustard. Then spread half of the grated cheese on top. Wash the tomatoes, slice them thinly, and arrange them evenly on the pastry. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the tomatoes and season with basil, garlic, salt, and pepper as desired. Bake the tomato tart for about 15 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C (convection oven). Because the mustard gives this tomato tart a very unique flavor, it has been a hit with everyone so far.
