Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 jars of salsify
  • 400 g minced meat
  • 1 cup of cream
  • some stock cubes
  • some seasoning mix (Maggi seasoning mix 2)
  • n. B. cornstarch for thickening

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Grandma’s way

Open the salsify jars and pour the liquid into a saucepan. Shape the mince into small balls, add them to the liquid, bring to a boil, and cook. Add the stock cube and cream and bring to a boil briefly. Add the salsify. Season everything with Spice Mix 2 or nutmeg, pepper, salt, and a pinch of cardamom and bring to a boil briefly to heat everything through. Thicken with cornstarch, if desired. Boiled potatoes are the best accompaniment.
