Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg chicken breast, seasoned
  • 250 g basmati rice
  • 2 large beefsteak tomatoes
  • 1 small can of kidney beans
  • 500 ml water
  • some salt
  • 4 tbsp honey

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

The chicken breast should be pre-seasoned or bought seasoned, as this brings out the contrast between sweet and savory more clearly, resulting in a unique flavor experience. First, cut the chicken breast into bite-sized portions and fry in a pan until golden brown. In the meantime, cut the tomatoes into eighths and then add to the meat. Fry both briefly. Then add the honey and a little later, pour in the water. Rinse the kidney beans and add to the pan. Season with salt and honey if desired, and simmer gently for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the rice in salted water according to the package instructions. Serve the rice with the chicken pan.
