Tortellini alla Papa

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500g tortellini
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 250 g cooked ham
  • 200 ml milk
  • 150 g Gouda, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pinch(s) of oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 basil leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Dice the ham, peel and finely dice the garlic cloves. Grate the Gouda and finely chop the chives and basil. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan and lightly fry the ham cubes with the garlic. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the sour cream. Return the pan to the heat and bring to a boil while stirring, then reduce the heat. Add the milk and Gouda and season with salt and pepper. Once the cheese has melted, add the oregano, stirring occasionally. Bring salted water to a boil and cook the tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the tortellini and divide between plates. Pour the sauce over the tortellini. Garnish with chives and basil.
