Tortellini – casserole à la Briel

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g meat sausage, optionally cooked ham
  • 2 packs of tortellini
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • ½ liter broth
  • 300 ml cream
  • 300 g cheese, grated
  • some oil
  • 1 tbsp herbs de Provence
  • salt and pepper

Cook the tortellini in salted water or broth according to the package instructions. Finely dice the sausage and onions, finely chop or press the garlic, and fry in a little fat. Deglaze with the broth. Simmer slightly. Then stir in the cream and grated cheese and season with Provençal herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix the drained tortellini with the sauce and place everything in a baking dish. Bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 30 minutes. Serve with a salad (iceberg lettuce, lamb’s lettuce).
