Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g wheat flour
- 200 g butter, soft
- 70 g sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 tsp, leveled coriander powder
- 1 tsp, leveled caraway powder
- ½ tsp turmeric powder for color
- possibly powdered sugar for dusting

makes about 20 spice cookies
Combine flour, sugar, and butter in a bowl and knead thoroughly. Knead in the salt and spices until smooth. Shape the dough into a log, wrap in plastic wrap, and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least one hour. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Cut the log into 0.5 cm thick slices with a sharp knife and place on a baking sheet. Bake the cookies on the middle rack for about 10 minutes. Let cool thoroughly.
