Tuna steak with vegetables and green cream

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g tuna steak(s)
  • 100 g green vegetables, e.g. asparagus, rocket, spinach etc.
  • 100 g cream
  • 5 ml rapeseed oil or olive oil
  • 1 tsp wasabi paste
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Heat oil in a pan. In the meantime, prepare the tuna and season with salt and pepper. Add it to the hot pan and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side. Clean the vegetables and prepare them if necessary (I cook asparagus for about 10 minutes until al dente). Once you’ve removed the tuna from the pan and placed it on a plate to rest, the prepared vegetables can take their place in the pan. Sear for about 2-5 minutes, depending on the type of tuna. Then deglaze with the cream and mix the wasabi paste into the sauce until it dissolves. Bring everything back to a boil before serving with the tuna on a plate. If you prefer it less spicy, omit all or some of the wasabi paste and replace it with salt and pepper. Serve with homemade mashed potatoes.
