Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g carrot(s)
- 100 g olives
- 4 cloves garlic
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp spice paste (harissa)
- ½ tbsp caraway (Carvi or Karwia – field caraway)
- Salt to taste
Instructions

Slata Ommok Houriya
Wash and dice the carrots, then cook in salted water until soft. Crush the garlic, caraway seeds, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a mortar and pestle. Once the carrots are tender, drain well and then mash with a fork. Add the garlic paste and harissa and mix well. Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with the olives.
