First, finely chop the onion and then mix it with the minced meat, preferably with your hands. Add the egg, spices, and polenta and mix everything well with your hands again. Then spread some flour on a surface and form small 2 cm thick balls from the minced meat. Roll the balls in the flour and flatten them slightly. You don’t necessarily need flour. Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the flattened balls on both sides. Be careful not to overcook them, so don’t fry too many at once. This quantity makes about 18 meatballs.
