Turkey schnitzel topped with sheep's cheese cream

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 turkey schnitzels
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 150 g herb cream cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sambal oelek
  • 6 cocktail tomatoes
  • 6 Pepper, green, in jar mild-spicy
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • Oil for frying
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Place the feta cheese, herb cream cheese, olive oil, and sambal oelek in a blender and blend until smooth. Peel the garlic, press it through a garlic press, and add it to the pan. Sear the turkey schnitzels in oil on both sides in a pan and season with salt and pepper. The schnitzels don’t need to be cooked through, as they’ll be going in the oven later. Place the schnitzels in a baking dish and spread with the cheese cream. Cut the cherry tomatoes, onion, and peppers into small pieces and scatter them on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 185 degrees Celsius (convection oven) for about 15-20 minutes. Then enjoy with baguette. I always use a small baking dish per person, so you can eat straight from it and enjoy it piping hot for longer.
