Turkey schnitzel under the hood

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 turkey schnitzels or turkey breast
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 150g brunch
  • 1 egg yolk
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Rinse the turkey schnitzel, pat dry, and season with salt and pepper, and paprika if desired. Heat oil in a pan and sear the turkey schnitzel on both sides. Place the turkey schnitzel in a baking dish. Wash the tomatoes, remove the stems, slice them, and place them on top of the schnitzel. Wash the chives and shake them dry, then cut them into fine rolls. Mix the spread with the chives and egg yolk. Season the cream with salt and pepper and spread it evenly over the tomatoes. Bake in a preheated oven at 225 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Serve with baked potatoes with sour cream or a nice mixed salad.
