Turkey strips in cognac – pepper – cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g turkey schnitzel
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper, white
  • 1 tbsp pepper, green (jar), more to taste
  • 4 tbsp cognac
  • 150 g whipped cream
  • ¾ liter of water
  • 3 tsp chicken broth (instant)
  • 5 tbsp sauce thickener, light

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cut the meat into strips. Finely dice the onions. Heat the oil in a pan and brown the meat vigorously, turning occasionally. Add the onions and sauté. Season with salt and pepper. Add the green pepper. Deglaze with cognac, cream, and water, and bring to a boil. Stir in the broth. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes. Thicken the strips and season to taste with salt and pepper.
