Turkish coconut cake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 18 tbsp sugar
  • 18 tbsp flour
  • 18 tbsp milk
  • 18 tbsp oil
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • ½ liter of milk
  • 150 g block chocolate
  • 3 eggs
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 200 g desiccated coconut

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

Mix eggs, sugar, sifted flour, milk, oil, vanilla sugar, and baking powder into a smooth batter and spread into a square dish on a baking sheet. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30-40 minutes and let cool. Bring the milk, chocolate bar, beaten eggs, and sugar to a boil, stirring constantly, and then let cool. This results in a thin batter. Once the cake has cooled, cut it into small, oblong pieces. Then I skewer each piece, hold it over the pan of chocolate mixture, and pour the mixture over the pieces completely. Let it drain briefly over the pan. Then I hold them over a plate of desiccated coconut. Using a spoon, the pieces are completely coated in coconut and placed on baking paper to dry. This takes a little time, but it tastes delicious.
