Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g grapes, green seedless
  • 300 g grapes, blue seedless
  • 400 g gelling sugar, 1:2
  • 100 ml dry white wine
  • 100 ml red wine, dry

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Quick Christmas gift (not only) for wine lovers

For the light compote, wash the green grapes, pluck them from the vines, and halve them. Place the grape halves in a saucepan with half the gelling sugar and the white wine. Bring to a rolling boil for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. While the compote is still hot, pour it into preserving jars, seal, and let it cool. Prepare the dark compote in the same way. This makes two jars of approximately 250 g each per compote. It will keep for 3-4 weeks if refrigerated. It tastes great with cheese, but also as a spread on bread.
