Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 250 g quark, 20 or 40%
  • 150 g yogurt 3.5% (1 small pot)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • ¼ cucumber(s), grated (1/4 to 1/5)
  • 1 dash of olive oil (2-3 tablespoons)
  • pepper
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

So, even though there are already many tzatziki recipes here, my tzatziki still tastes the best (and it’s not as rich as with cream cheese, etc.): Whisk together the cream cheese, quark, and yogurt until smooth. Stir in the grated gherkin along with the finely chopped or, better yet, grated garlic cloves and season with pepper and a little salt. Smooth with a drizzle of olive oil and refrigerate. Serve with a fresh onion baguette.
