Upside-down pear tart

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 175 g butter
  • 175 g sugar
  • 3 pear(s), ripe
  • 60 g walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Thickly grease a tart tin with 25g butter and sprinkle with 25g sugar. Peel, quarter, and core the pears. Drizzle with lemon juice. Place in the tart tin, domed side down. Sprinkle the finely chopped walnuts into the gaps and on top of the pears. Cream the remaining butter and sugar (150g each) until light and fluffy, then gradually beat in the eggs. Finally, stir in the flour and mix everything into a smooth batter. Pour the batter into the tart tin. Bake for 45 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes. Place a cake plate on top of the tart tin and turn the tart out onto it. Dust with powdered sugar. Tastes delicious warm or cold with cream or ice cream.
