Urrädla, a Franconian specialty

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 400 g flour
  • 50 g butter
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 4 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 shot of plum brandy
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp Clarified butter, for the pan
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Combine all ingredients except clarified butter and make a firm dough. Let it rest for an hour. Divide the dough into 5 portions and roll each portion out very thinly. Heat the clarified butter and press the rolls together with two wooden spoons. Bake until light brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
