Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 200 ml milk
  • 200 ml mineral water
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 400 g flour
  • ½ liter oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Serbian doughnuts – Uštipci

Whisk the eggs. Add the milk, water, oil, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Slowly stir in the flour. Heat about 1/2 liter of oil. Spoon some batter into the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides. This recipe can also be prepared with just water. It’s a great accompaniment to stir-fries, or even just for kids with jam or something similar.
