Vanilla – almond – pudding

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 sachet of pudding powder, vanilla
  • 500 ml milk
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 50 g almond flakes
  • 25 g sugar
  • some butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add 25g of sugar and the flaked almonds. As soon as the almonds start to brown, remove the pan from the heat and set aside. In a bowl, mix the custard powder with 2 teaspoons of sugar and stir in a little milk until smooth. Rinse a saucepan with cold water, do not dry it, add the remaining milk and bring to the boil. Then add the mixed custard powder, mix everything well and bring to the boil again. Then add the almonds and stir. Now divide between molds or pour into a serving bowl and put the pudding in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Dust with icing sugar or serve with a few strawberries or a scoop of ice cream.
