Vanilla crescents

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour (type 405)
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar (not vanillin)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100 g almond(s), ground
  • 200 g margarine (e.g. Alsan) or butter
  • 75 g sugar
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 2 vanilla pods

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

with almonds, also vegan

All ingredients should be at room temperature. Knead all ingredients, from flour to sugar, together and form the dough into crescent rolls. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes at 175°C fan-assisted oven (200°C top/bottom heat). The crescent rolls should remain light in color, turning only a very light yellow-brown. In the meantime, mix the powdered sugar with the seeds of the scraped vanilla pods and roll the crescent rolls in the mixture while they’re still hot.
