Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 ml cream (soy cream)
- 300 ml soy milk (soy drink)
- 250 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar (bourbon vanilla sugar)
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Dulche de leche – a delicious spread!
Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Then reduce heat to low and simmer gently for 40-45 minutes, stirring occasionally. The cream is ready when it has turned a golden yellow to light beige color. To check, put a small dollop of the cream on a plate. If it doesn’t slide off the plate once it has cooled, or if it slides off very easily, then the cream is ready. This quantity makes two jars of jam. It will keep in the refrigerator for at least three to four weeks. Tip: Add a pinch of gingerbread spice at Christmas time; it tastes heavenly!
