Vegan: Seitan – Onion – Gyros with Carrot – Rice

The perfect vegan: seitan – onion – gyros with carrot – rice recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the rice side dish

  • 1 tbsp Gyros spice
  • 30 g Alsan
  • 1 size Fresh onion
  • 20 g Alsan
  • 1 Cup Rice
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 shell Grated carrots
  • 1 tsp My vegetable broth *

First prepare the rice side dish …

  1. 1 …. to do this, heat the rice with the water and the vegetable stock and bring to a simmer. Simmer gently for about 10 minutes … then add the shredded carrots.
  2. Cut the seitan into strips and put them in a bowl with the gyros spice, the whole thing should be well cooked (had it prepared for lunch to eat in the evening)
  3. Peel and halve the large onion, then cut into slices. Swish in the hot Alsan. Heat Alsan in a second pan and sear the seitan strips well. I then put both together and swiveled through another 2-3 times.
