Vegan: Seitan – Onion – Gyros with Carrot – Rice
The perfect vegan: seitan – onion – gyros with carrot – rice recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the rice side dish
- 1 tbsp Gyros spice
- 30 g Alsan
- 1 size Fresh onion
- 20 g Alsan
- 1 Cup Rice
- 2 cups Water
- 1 shell Grated carrots
- 1 tsp My vegetable broth *
First prepare the rice side dish …
- 1 …. to do this, heat the rice with the water and the vegetable stock and bring to a simmer. Simmer gently for about 10 minutes … then add the shredded carrots.
- Cut the seitan into strips and put them in a bowl with the gyros spice, the whole thing should be well cooked (had it prepared for lunch to eat in the evening)
- Peel and halve the large onion, then cut into slices. Swish in the hot Alsan. Heat Alsan in a second pan and sear the seitan strips well. I then put both together and swiveled through another 2-3 times.
