Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 g wholemeal spelt flour
- 1 packet of dry yeast
- 350 ml water, lukewarm
- 1 tsp salt
- e.g. sesame or linseed
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
for 16 rolls; no sugar, no milk, no fat or butter
Mix the flour with yeast and salt. Then add the water and knead the dough thoroughly with a dough hook. Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rise for 20 minutes in a warm place, such as on the radiator or in the oven. Form the dough into 16 balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Let them rise for another 5 minutes. Sprinkle the rolls with sesame and/or flaxseed and bake at 250°C for about 25 minutes until golden brown. The rolls taste best fresh, but they can also be frozen.
