- 1,5 kg Vegetable cucumbers
- 1 Onion
- 1 tbsp Yellow mustard seeds
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 Dried chilli pepper
- 10 Black peppercorns
- 10 Allspice grains
- 3 Cloves
- 2 Bay leaves
- 1 tbsp Chopped ginger
- 3 tbsp Chopped dill
- 150 ml White wine vinegar
- 150 ml Water
- Peel the cucumbers, cut in half lengthways, core and cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel and roughly chop the onion. Bring the water to the boil in a suitable saucepan, add all the spices (except for the fresh dill).
- Approx. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes. Add the cucumber and onion pieces, sauté briefly, and with further addition of vinegar and possibly. the cooking stock is more spicy and acidic. The cucumbers need a lot of seasoning. Finally add the fresh dill.
- Fill the jars with hot rinsing, min. Let stand for 5 days and you can try it. YUMMY !!!
