Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 600 g cornelian cherries
- 350 g rosehips
- 300 g sea buckthorn
- 1 kg sugar
- 1 bottle of white rum
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
to be processed as syrup or liqueur
Mash the cleaned and washed berries and let it boil for at least 10 minutes, then add the sugar right away. This creates a syrup, then press everything through a cheesecloth in a sieve. This can then be bottled immediately or boiled until thick, whichever you prefer. Once the syrup has cooled, add a 0.7-liter bottle of white rum or another white liquor and let it steep at least overnight. Since sea buckthorn has a specific acidity, no other ingredients are needed. The liqueur is very healthy and can also be made as a syrup without alcohol, as I mentioned above.
