Ingredients

  • 500 g Wheat flour
  • 0,5 cube Yeast
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 200 ml Lukewarm water
  • 2 tbsp Sesame

Instructions

  • Put the flour with the salt in a bowl and mix well and then make a well in the middle. Put about 50 - 70 ml of the lukewarm water in there, crumble in the yeast and add the honey and mix with a little flour with a fork, cover and approx. Let rise for 15 minutes.
  • Now something like a small pre-dough has emerged in the middle. Now the rest of the water is added and everything is kneaded by hand to form an elastic dough. The longer you knead, the better the bread will be. Now cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for about 60 minutes until the volume has doubled.
  • Wet a wad of baking paper under cold running water and then squeeze it out well and then fit it into the loaf pan. Now knead the dough really well again, shape it into an oblong shape, place it in the loaf pan and cover it again for 30 minutes.
  • Then cut into the dough lengthways with a very sharp knife, brush with a little lukewarm water and sprinkle with the sesame seeds and then bake in the oven preheated to 210 degrees for 35 - 45 minutes. Don't forget to pour a bowl of cold water into the drip pan (which should be on the lowest rail of the oven) - so that a nice gush forms immediately.
