Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pretzels or pretzel sticks
  • 4 eggs
  • 60 g butter
  • 250 ml milk
  • 4 white sausages
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Remove the salt from the pretzels or pretzel sticks and dice the pretzels. Melt the butter and pour it over the cubes. Whisk the eggs with the milk, salt, and pepper. Pour the egg wash over the pretzel cubes and let them swell for 10 minutes. Skin the white sausages and dice them. Then stir them into the swollen pretzel mixture. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish. Place the casserole in a preheated oven at 200°C for 50 minutes, until the surface is light brown. Mix the sour cream with the mustard, salt, and pepper, and season with a little sugar. Serve the mustard dip with the casserole.
