Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 750 ml dry white wine (e.g. Riesling)
  • 500 g gelling sugar (2:1)
  • 80 ml lime juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 10 minutes

A different kind of spread!

Pour the wine into a saucepan, add the gelling sugar, and stir. Then stir in the lime juice. Bring to a boil while stirring and simmer for 5 minutes. Test for settling. Immediately pour the hot, liquid jelly into clean jam jars, seal tightly, and turn upside down for about 15 minutes. Then turn over and let cool. It tastes slightly of alcohol and wine, but is still sweet!
