Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • e.g. Cognac for marinating
  • 2 steak(s), lean (pork, rump, turkey or chicken steaks)
  • Spice mix (grill spice)
  • 125 ml white wine
  • 250 ml water
  • 2 packs of sauce powder for light hollandaise sauce
  • 200 g processed cheese
  • ½ pack of dill or 8-herb mix, frozen or fresh
  • some clarified butter or oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Season the steaks with barbecue seasoning, drizzle with cognac, and let them marinate for a while. Brown them on both sides in a pan with clarified butter or a little oil and place them in a casserole dish. For the sauce, combine the wine and water in a saucepan and stir in the sauce mix. Bring to a boil while stirring, then melt the cheese. Finally, stir in the dill or other herbs and pour over the steaks. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (fan oven, top/bottom heat: 200°C) for about 15 minutes. Serve with baguette, garlic baguette, or herb baguette.
