Winter apple jam

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg apples
  • 80 g raisins
  • 50 g almonds, chopped
  • 1 pack of gelling sugar 3:1
  • 1 bottle of rum flavoring
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. clove powder
  • ½ tsp cardamom
  • 1 pinch of vanilla
  • some lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Peel and core the apples, then grate them. I leave the ends on, as I like chunky pieces in the jam. Sprinkle the apples with a little lemon juice to prevent them from browning. Chop the raisins. Mix all ingredients and let them sit overnight. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for 4 minutes, or as directed on the preserving sugar packet. Test the setting time and then pour the jam into the prepared jars.
