Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g meat sausage
  • 360 g gherkins from the jar, drained weight
  • 5 eggs
  • 140 g peas from the can, drained weight
  • 500 g potatoes, mostly waxy
  • 250 g mayonnaise
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Peel the potatoes and cut into small cubes. Then boil them in salted water for about 20 minutes and let them cool. Boil the eggs until tender and let them cool. Then peel them and cut them into small cubes. Also cut the sausage and cucumbers into small cubes. Drain the peas. Place the potatoes, eggs, sausage, cucumbers, and peas in a large bowl, mix with the mayonnaise, and add a pinch of salt. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Using the Thermomix: Chop the cucumbers for 1-2 seconds on speed 5 and transfer them to a large bowl. Briefly rinse the mixing bowl. Peel the raw potatoes and cut them into small cubes. Place them in the Varoma. Add 800 ml of water to the mixing bowl, place the eggs in the simmering basket, put the lid on and Varoma on, and cook for 25-30 minutes on Varoma, speed 1. During this time, cut the sausage into small cubes, drain the peas, and add them to the bowl. Allow the eggs and potatoes to cool completely, then dice the eggs and add them to the bowl. Mix everything with the mayonnaise and add a pinch of salt. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
