Witty Apple Pie
The perfect witty apple pie recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 175 g Butter
- 75 g Powdered sugar
- 0,5 Vanilla pod
- 1 pinch Salt
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 Pä Vanilla pudding
- Knead all ingredients except the flour, finally knead in the flour until the dough is smooth. Wrapped in foil, store in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
- Peel the apple and remove the core. Pour lemon juice over them so that the apples do not turn brown. Mix the pudding with some of the cider and heat the rest. Then cook the pudding – set aside until it has cooled a little. Cut the apples into thin slices / pieces. Pour over the warm pudding.
- Line the springform pan with baking paper or prepare with butter and breadcrumbs. Roll out the dough and place in the mold, leaving a 4-5 cm high edge on the side. Pour in the apple mixture and cut a narrow lattice out of the remaining dough – as with the Linzertorte. Possibly spread a few nut slices on top. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for a good hour (depending on the oven). The finished cake can be coated with hot apple jelly, then it shines really great. The cake needs a lot of time to cool down !!! It must not be cut too early. And now good luck.
