Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 tbsp soy sauce, light
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce, dark
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice wine
  • 2 tbsp, levelled sugar
  • 125 ml chicken broth, or vegetable broth, or water

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 minutes; Total time approx. 7 minutes

Basic sauce for Chinese dishes

Bring everything together to a boil briefly until the sugar has dissolved. Use: Briefly heat the sauce with the cooked contents of the wok and thicken with starch if necessary. The sauce can be prepared in larger batches and stored in the refrigerator. Variations: – Hoisin sauce, use more oyster sauce – Add a few drops of dark sesame oil, especially good with chicken – Fresh or dried chili, sambal oelek, Tabasco, or similar – Garlic
