Woodcutter dumplings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 150 ml milk
  • 3 m.-sized eggs
  • 200 g bacon
  • 200 g ham (leg)
  • 2 onions
  • 1 shot of oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

For the dumpling dough, combine milk, eggs, salt, and oil. Add flour and beat everything into a dough. Let it rest slightly. Rub the dough through a dumpling sieve into simmering, salted water. Bring to a boil briefly, then strain. Dice the bacon and fry in a pan. Chop the onion and ham and add them. Then add the dumplings and stir well. Season to taste (the dish can handle a lot of pepper). Sprinkle with parsley and mix well. Serve with a green salad.
