Yeast dough for pizza, stick bread etc.

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour, light
  • 1 cube of yeast, fresh
  • 250 ml water, lukewarm
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, or other oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tbsp garlic salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • possibly pizza seasoning, for stick bread

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Pour warm water into a container and crumble in the yeast. Stir until the yeast has dissolved. Put the flour, olive oil, salt, garlic salt, and sugar in a bowl. Add the dissolved yeast and knead with a hand mixer until the dough is nice and smooth. Place the dough in a warm place for half an hour until it has at least doubled in size. Then knead again by hand. Makes 2 pizza trays or 8 servings of stick bread. You can leave the dough in the fridge overnight or freeze it. I’ve tried many dough recipes here, but always had trouble with the quantities. The dough was either too dry or too sticky. As it is here, you don’t need to add anything.
