Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g flour, type 405 or 1050
  • 1 cube of yeast, fresh
  • 60 g sugar
  • 200 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 60 g butter, soft or margarine
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s), size M
  • 1 dashes lemon juice
  • Condensed milk
  • egg yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Clay pipes

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and knead. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour. Knead the dough thoroughly, roll it out, and cut out the pretzel shapes. Let it rise for another 15 minutes on the baking sheet, then brush with condensed milk and egg yolk. Place the clay whistles in the arms. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 17 minutes.
