Yellow onion sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp, heaped curry powder, English
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of ginger powder
  • margarine
  • herb butter
  • Garlic butter
  • white wine
  • cumin

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

goes well with bratwurst, boiled potatoes or other pan-fried dishes

Peel the onions and slice them into rings, preferably with a carrot slicer. Heat the margarine and sauté the onions until soft. DO NOT BROWN!!!!!!!!! Add a knob of herb and garlic butter, to taste, and deglaze with the white wine. Simmer for a few minutes, then add the sour cream. Season with cumin, salt, curry powder, and ginger powder to taste and serve hot.
