Zucchetti – Pizza

The perfect zucchetti – pizza recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 gr Pizza dough
  • 6 piece Garlic
  • 4 piece Fresh onion
  • 4 tbsp Thyme hooked fresh
  • 100 g Grated Emmental
  • 400 gr Zucchini
  • 10 tbsp Butter
  • 10 piece Cherry date tomatoes
  • Black olives
  • Salt, gourmet pepper from my KB
  1. Finely chop the garlic – cut the onions into rings
  2. Melt 4 tablespoons butter in a frying pan and sauté the onions and garlic for 2 minutes, add the remaining butter – let it melt and add the thyme. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Clean the zucchini and cut into 4mm rings and mix with the seasoned butter with onion and garlic
  4. Roll out the pizza dough and prick the base lightly
  5. Spread the cheese on top and put the prepared zucchini-onion-garlic-seasoned butter mixture on top of the cheese, spread the cherry tomatoes and olives over the top
  6. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees
  7. Depending on the oven, the baking time is 15-20 minutes
  8. plus a salad and a cold beer 😉 or a glass of wine
