Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g spelt flour (wholemeal)
  • ½ cube of yeast, fresh
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 100 g walnuts, chopped
  • 1 m.-sized pear(s)
  • 1 m.-sized carrot(s)
  • 350 ml water, lukewarm, not too hot otherwise the yeast will not work anymore
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 3 minutes

Grate the pear and carrot. Grease a loaf pan. Mix the yeast with the honey and dissolve (it will become runny). Then add all the ingredients, combine to form a dough, and knead thoroughly. Pour the dough into the loaf pan and place it in a cold oven. It’s important not to preheat the oven! Set the oven to 175°C and bake the bread for about 1 hour. After 10 minutes of baking, score the bread lengthwise with a knife for a better finish.
