Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g butter
  • 125 g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg(s), separated
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • some oil for the waffle iron
  • Powdered sugar, for sprinkling

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cream the butter until fluffy, add the icing sugar, and stir in the egg yolk. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon and add to the mixture. Pour in the milk. First, carefully mix until a smooth batter forms, then mix on high speed. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and carefully fold in. It’s important that the batter isn’t too thin! Preheat a waffle iron specifically for stick waffles and lightly oil it with a brush. It’s best to add batter using two tablespoons until the reservoir is completely full. Close the waffle iron and insert the wooden skewers into the openings provided. Baking temperature: approx. 220-230°C. Baking time: 4-5 minutes, depending on the desired thickness of the waffles. Sprinkle the finished waffles with icing sugar.
