Sausage Salad, Swiss Style

The perfect sausage salad, swiss style recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the marinade

  • 200 g Emmental
  • 4 Gherkins
  • 3 Onions
  • 3 tbsp Vinegar
  • 5 tbsp Oil
  • Salt and white pepper
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 2 Msp Mustard medium hot
  • Chives
  1. Cut the meat sausage, the Emmental cheese and the onions into fine strips. Cut the pickles into fine cubes. Mix everything in a bowl.

The marinade

  1. Mix vinegar, oil, mustard, salt, pepper and sugar in a small bowl. Pour over the salad
  2. Mix the salad with the marinade well and let it steep for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Serve the salad in a bowl and serve with pretzels or hearty country bread.
