Bean, potato and bacon casserole

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 1 kg green beans
  • 300 g bacon, sliced
  • 1 bunch of savory
  • pepper
  • Herbs, mixed
  • bouillon

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Cut off the bean tips. Blanch the beans briefly in cold water, then rinse them with cold water. Peel the potatoes and grate them. Cut the bacon into pieces about 3 cm in size. Mix everything well with the finely chopped savory, the herb mixture, and the pepper, and place in a shallow gratin dish. Pour the stock over the beans, filling them halfway up the dish (by eye). Then cook the casserole at about 180°C for 45-60 minutes. You can cover the gratin dish with aluminum foil at the beginning, but it should be removed after 30 minutes at the latest to ensure a crispy layer.
