Ginger tea made from black tea with lemon

Bring the water to a boil. Halve the lemon, cut one half into 4 slices, and divide them between 4 large cups. Juice the other half. Peel the ginger, cut it into pieces, and place it in a tea strainer. If not using tea bags, add the tea bags to the tea strainer as well. Place the tea strainer and tea bags, if using, in a pot and pour over the boiling water. Let it steep for about 7 minutes, season with lemon juice and honey or rock candy, and divide it between the 4 cups. It’s very effective for sore throats.
