Winter apple liqueur

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ¾ liter rum, 40%
  • ¾ liter apple juice (direct juice or home-juiced)
  • 1 cinnamon stick(s)
  • 2 cloves
  • 4 tbsp Amaretto
  • 175 g rock candy (preferably crumbly rock candy)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

with rum, spices and a dash of Amaretto

Simply pour all ingredients into a large, sealable glass container and let it steep for about 6-8 weeks, until the rock candy has dissolved. It’s best to swirl the container occasionally to achieve this. Then simply strain (a fine mesh sieve will suffice) and pour into clean bottles. The liqueur tastes delicious on its own, but also as a more or less generous “shot” in hot apple juice.
