Wholegrain Spelled Rolls
The perfect wholegrain spelled rolls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Ingredients for about 12 pieces
- 500 g Wholemeal spelled flour
- 10 g Salt
- 15 g Soft butter
- 1 tsp Bread spice mix
- 50 g Unpeeled sesame seeds
- 15 g Fresh yeast
- 330 g Water about 23 degrees
- 3 tbsp Sesame to roll over
- Water to spray
- Weigh all ingredients and place in a mixing bowl except for the water and yeast
- Dissolve the yeast in the water, add to the other ingredients and knead the dough for about 5 minutes
- Place the dough on the floured work surface, shape it into a ball and cover it with a tea towel and let it rest for approx. 15 minutes
- Then cut off dough pieces of approx. 80 grams and shape them into a round shape
- Spray with water and roll in sesame seeds and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper
- cut 3 times with scissors, always cutting away from the center with a point (as in the picture)
- Cover and let rise for approx. 30 to 40 minutes, depending on the room temperature
- Meanwhile preheat the oven to 230 degrees (top – bottom heat)
- Spray the rolls well with water, put them in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes
- Also suitable for freezing!
