The perfect apple and cinnamon bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 350 g Flour
- 250 g Sugar
- 1 packet Dry yeast
- 0,5 teaspoon Salt
- 60 g Butter
- 80 Milliliters Milk
- 120 Milliliters Water
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 Pc. Apple
- Heat the milk with the butter, when the butter has melted, remove the mixture from the stove and stir in the 60 ml of water and then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Mix 275 g flour, yeast, 50 g sugar and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk eggs in a separate bowl
- Pour the milk-butter mixture into the flour and stir in, then stir in the beaten eggs and gradually add the remaining flour and knead for 2-3 minutes
- Now put the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a kitchen towel and let it rest for an hour.
- Peel, core and chop the apple, then simmer with 60 ml water for about 10 minutes. Then puree the apples and let them cool down a little.
- Grease a bread pan and dust it with flour.
- Mix the remaining sugar with the cinnamon and set aside.
- Knead the yeast dough again and let it rest for another 5 minutes, then knead again on a floured work surface and roll out to approx. 30×40. Then distribute the apple mixture on the dough and pour the cinnamon sugar mixture over it.
- Now cut the dough lengthways into 6 equal strips, lay them on top of each other and cut across again into 6 equal parts. Place the dough pieces upright next to each other in the loaf pan, cover with a cloth and let rest for another 30 minutes
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees above and below the heat and bake the plucked cakes for 30-35 minutes (depending on the degree of browning).
- Let the cake cool for another 15 minutes and serve warm.
