Preserving: Mango and Strawberry Jam

The perfect preserving: mango and strawberry jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Fresh mango
  • 350 g Fresh strawberries
  • 1 Fresh lime
  • 35 ml Elderflower syrup
  • … RZ in meinem KB
  • 375 g Preserving sugar 2: 1
  1. Peel the mango, cut the flesh from the core (makes about 350g). Wash the strawberries, remove the green parts and cut in half. Rub the peel off the lime, then squeeze out the lime.
  2. Put the mango, strawberries, lime zest and juice as well as the elderflower syrup in a bowl and puree coarsely or finely as desired.
  3. Then add the preserving sugar and let stand for about 1 hour.
  4. Then put in a saucepan, bring to the boil while stirring and let simmer for 4-5 minutes
  5. Now fill the twist-off jars, close them tightly and turn them upside down for a few minutes.
  6. PS: Of course you can also take 500g of fruit and then accordingly 1.5 limes, 50ml elderflower syrup and 1 packet (500g) of preserving sugar. But I didn’t have that much left in the house.
