Winter Rice Pudding, for Big and Small Sweet Tooth

The perfect winter rice pudding, for big and small sweet tooth recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Rice pudding / dessert rice
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 125 ml Cream 30% fat
  • 40 g Sugar
  • 1 tsp Painted cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 3 Pc. Eggs
  • 50 g Raisins
  • 3 Pc. Apple
  • 25 g Butter
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  1. This is a very tasty data center, but it is also very powerful. The amount given is sufficient for 4 large or 8 small gourmets.
  2. Wash, peel and quarter the apples, remove the core and cut into cubes. Put the apple cubes in a bowl and drizzle with 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Cover and let stand for 15 minutes.
  3. Set the oven to 175 degrees and warm up.
  4. Put the cream, milk, sugar and rice in a saucepan and bring to the boil. When it starts to boil add the butter and at the boiling point set the flame to low and simmer for 12 minutes. Stirring is strongly recommended, otherwise the rice could stick to the bottom. After the 12 minutes, remove the rice from the fire and let it cool down a little.
  5. During this time, 2 tablespoons of sugar are melted in a pan. Mix the apple cubes, raisins and caramel, then add to the melted sugar. When all of this has mixed well and the sugar is well combined with the fruit, add the honey. Take the whole thing off the fire and let it cool down a little.
  6. While it is cooling down, break open the 3 eggs and separate the yolks from the egg whites. Mix together the egg yolks & stir into the rice. Then add the caramelized fruits to the rice.
  7. Beat the egg white in a slightly higher bowl and then carefully fold it into the rice-fruit mix. Put everything in dessert bowls and place in the preheated oven, bake there for 25 minutes.
  8. Bowls do not have to be greased!
  9. After the baking time, take the bowls out of the oven and cool it down to room temperature, then either with the bowl or upside down and serve with vanilla sauce.
  10. It is a delicious winter dessert, which is strongly reminiscent of apple milk rice, only that this is not from the “little miller” & also a little different ;-))
